Data You Give Us Directly
Search queries
Text entered in a search tool is sent to the provider that operates that tool. This site does not maintain a separate log of individual search terms.
Messages and contact submissions
If a visitor sends a message, it may be retained to respond and maintain the correspondence. It is not shared outside the organization unless a legal obligation requires disclosure.
Data We Gather Automatically
Website operations may collect standard technical information, such as an IP address, browser type and version, device and operating-system information, pages viewed, referring page, and timestamps. Cookies and analytics tools may help measure aggregated traffic, diagnose performance, and understand page use. Browser settings can limit cookies, though some functionality may change.
What We Do With This Data
Technical and correspondence data may be used to operate and secure the site, answer communications, direct a search request to the selected provider, measure aggregated use, troubleshoot problems, and support advertising or referral relationships where applicable.
No Court-Record Data on File
Stanly County Court Docket does not host, maintain, compile, or sell a database of court dockets or personal case information. It provides general routing information to the Clerk of Superior Court, North Carolina Judicial Branch Portal, and related official sources. North Carolina's public-record baseline is G.S. 132-6, while court clerks maintain court records under G.S. 7A-109. Portal access is not the official court record.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes that may appear on content pages. Information submitted to such a service is governed by that provider's privacy policy and practices. Those providers determine their own retention, sharing, and pricing terms.
Links to Other Websites
Links to courts, clerk offices, government sources, and outside tools lead to sites with their own policies. The policy of that destination controls once a visitor leaves this site. Advertising partners may conduct their own tracking on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal data is not sold. Information may be processed by the selected search provider, analytics services, advertising networks, service providers needed to operate the site, or governmental bodies when a valid legal order requires it.
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable administrative and technical safeguards are used for the information collected through site operations. Internet transmission and storage cannot be guaranteed free from every risk, so absolute security cannot be promised.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from a person under 18. A report that a minor has provided information will be reviewed and the information removed where appropriate.
Your Data Rights
Applicable law may provide rights to request access to personal information, seek correction of inaccurate information, request deletion, or opt out of certain processing. A request can be made through the contact information published on this site. North Carolina's court-record access rules remain subject to public-record and confidentiality laws, including G.S. 132-6 and G.S. 7A-109.
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change as site practices change. A revised policy takes effect when posted here.
